It has been a week since my last post, but I have a very justifiable excuse: I am on holiday! Doing nothing but swimming, sleeping and eating like a happy little piglet.
I am now in Portugal having been in Spain with my parents for a week. I arrived in Marbella last Friday night, after traveling for 20 hours. I was so late at the check-in in Hong Kong that I almost missed the flight, but the unusually nice guys at the desk managed to find me a last moment seat and as there were no seats left in economy, even upgraded me. Happy days :)
It took a while for me to lose the big-city anxiety chains that take hold of me in Hong Kong like a straight jacket. Hong Kong feels like a constatnt race: it's a city of multi-tasking hyperactive type A personalities who are doing twenty things at a time and are still not satisfied. This equally pushes and motivates me and drives me mad. As a result it takes two/three days for me to actually adapt to the relaxed holiday mode.
I love waking up in the morning on the first day of holiday and realizing that there is no where to rush, no need to stress about anything, you can have a lazy breakfast and then have a little nap, you can laze around savouring every minute of time, watching the hours go by without trying to outrun them.
Best way way to relax? Is to do an information detox: cut out internet, newspapers, kill the blackberry (well maybe not, but at least switch it off) and then you can let your mind rest.
I have about 10 posts on Spain and Portugal in the pipeline so stay tuned. I will try and post more often this week.
The outfit is my trusted polka dot romper from a store called Home (HK), DVF wedges, Massimo Dutti belt, Bimba & Lola bag, ZARA shirt, Uterque gold chain bracelet (which I am absolutely obsessed with at the moment.
